Baba Tahir is known as one of the most revered and respectable early poets in Iranian literature.
His tomb is located near the northern entrance of the city of Hamadan in Western Iran, in a park, surrounded by flowers and winding paths.
It was reconstructed in 1970.
Inside the tomb are marble slabs the colour of parchment with poems written in black calligraphy. Surrounding the marble slabs are borders of translucent stone.
The interior of the tower has tile work and a lattice roof: a sharp contrast to the concrete exterior.
