Dashtak village is one of the oldest villages in Fars province, and fame to Dashtak because of its location in small plain.
Remains of the Achaemenid period can be seen in Dashtak village and the Date of the formation of the village according to inscriptions of the old cemetery of Dashtak, is related to the seventh century AH.
The village has an altitude of 2040 m above the sea level. Dashtak has a temperate weather in spring and summer and cold weather in fall and winter.
The beautiful waterfall of Dashtak located in a distance 65 kilometers from west of Marvdasht. This waterfall located also near to Dashtak village in a distance 8 kilometer from the north of Dorodzan dam, and the existence of walnut trees increase beauties of the river course that dazzle the eyes of every viewer.
Since the village is located at the slope, the fabric of its houses is step-like; the stepped architecture of Dashtak village gives an impressive look to the village.
