Dr. Mahmoud Hesabi, son of Abbas Hesabi
“Mo’ez al-Saltaneh”, was born in
Tehran, 1282 (solar year)(1923). His preliminary studies was at French school of Beyrut “Ferrer”, and passed his intermediate studies in American College of Beyrut, and took his BA degree from there.
Dr. Hesabi was known as electricity engineer at
Paris Electricity high school and got his Ph.D. degree on Physic from
Paris Sorbun University. He traveled to
France, England and America
several times.
Dr. Hesabi’s works are: Sensitiveness of photoelectric cells (in French), Our way (in French), Iranian Names (in Persian), “Physical Eyes” for physic students, and several essays on England, French and America physic magazines, about the structure of basic elements of Atom.
He was a member of Atomic Institution Council of Chicago.
He learnt Quran by his mother before the age of 7 and then Hafiz’s Book of Poetry and Sa’di’s Gulistan and Bustan.
He was a successful student. During his studying at university he got 8 degrees (BA, MA, and Ph.D.) on literature, civil

Professor Dr. Hessabi, contemporary scientist and founder of Iranian Modern Physics, and had a lot of medals and honors in his life.
