Nehchir castle with an area of 20 thousand square meters is located in Mobarake city in Isfahan and is belonged to Ghajar period.
From the architectural point of view, Nehchir castle is built in symmetrical form. Some parts have beautiful architecture of Zandie era, some others related to Safavid architecture and other parts belong to early Ghajar period, thus it has the combination of Islamic architecture of Safavid period with Zandieh and Ghajarie architecture.
The castle is situated in the middle of plain, the yard is in the center of the castle and the rooms are around it.
The castle that is in the southeastern part of the city has wonderful buildings, corridors, beautiful yards with traditional architecture; it used to be a preserve in Shah Safie din time, and stone columns were built for bath building and still exist.
Different sections of the castle which is recommended for visiting include: Haft Khane, Yard, administrative area, lockup, stable, labyrinthine corridors, storage and other parts.
