Rangooniha Mosque was built in west south of Abadan refinery, and was located next to the Arvand River in 1300 SH. When Abadan was attributed to an industrial city, thousands of English, Indian and Pakestanian followers migrated to this city; workers of Rangoon (capital city for Burma) refinery were the first group who step into Abadan.
They were mostly Muslim. This mosque was built based on their requests so they called it Rangooniha. Due to different narratives, this place was a temple for Siks and then it was destructed completely, and Rangooniha Mosque has been built on it.
