This village has a height of 600 m above the sea level it also has mild climate. Sorkhab is originated from Sohrab which is the name of a tribe that has resided in this region.
Sosan is originated from the presence of Sosan (Lily, flower) but this idea is not valid. Inhabitants consider the black hole (Chalesiah) as the beginning point of Sosan Sorkhab.
Black hole (Chalesiah) is a part of river which is nearly black. The cause of this blackness can be the shadows of many trees which surround it or it depends on its soil's element.
This region is full of plane trees. They call it Chandar in local Dialect.
