Jazmoryan lake( jazmoryan plain )
Jazmoryan lake is a young tectonic subsidence which has a 350 meters height from sea level. This plain’s vast in precipitation season is about 3300 square kilometer due to specific climate conditions.
In most of year much of it will be converted to a salt pan and clay pans. Jazmoryan catchment area with 69 thousand and 600 square kilometers,from division aspect considered as middle closed basin of
Iran.
Some of these plains such as jirouft plain are one of the most favorable points of
Iran lateau for cultivation of tropical plants.
Jazmoryan lake consist of three parts:
Seasonal lake which it’s range in dry and wet season are changing a lot and in most places will disappear in late summer and early fall.
Wet surface which covered about 22 percent area.
Swampy area that covered 59 percent of the wet zone and the upper border of that zone is sylty clay.
In central part part of jazmoryan basin,there is a oval shaped hole that is the destination of all surfaces water basin is going to and it calleds plain or lake jazmoryan.
