The kilim is a kind of tapestry-woven rug which has no pile like a knotted rug. being considered a typical handicraft in most provinces, particular in regions where nomads reside, the kilim is one of the most ancient hand-woven works, has been produced in Iran for centuries.
despite the fact that all kilims woven in Iran enjoy the same general weaving techniques, each work has its own uniqueness and geometric design which even laymen can distinguish.
