Ghamishlou National Park and wildlife asylum is located at the distance of 45 km in western north of Isfahan.
The space of this park is 29886 hectare and the space of wildlife asylum is 3888 hectare.
It`s said that ghamishlou National Park is the most oldest protected area in the world. 150 years ago, Zel-Al-Soltan( the shadow of the king) the elder son of Naser-Al-Din shah and the ruler of Isfahan, named ghamishlou as an especial hunting ground and even prevented animal grazing in that zone.
The hunting club of Iran in 1343 introduced this area as a protected area.
