Iran. People of
Mazandaran Province have their own traditional folkloric clothes as well.
One of the traditional clothes of local people of
Mazandaran Province is called
Jemeh or Jomeh, meaning shirt or dress.
Jemeh is usually a womanly dress which is made from cotton fibers.
It has simple design and layout. Rich women made
Jemeh or dresses from expensive fibers such as silk. Some of the
Jemeh dresses have collars and some of them don't have collars.
There may be some gap on the sides of
Jemeh or Jomeh. They usually have long simple sleeves. Some of them are simple while some of them have colorful designs and patterns.
