Sahne ’s Catacomb
Catacombs of Sahne is also called the catacomb of Darband which among the people of district is known as Keikavos ’ grave , Shirin and Farhad’s tomb .This is the rarest two-floor catacomb of Meses period.
Along with the route, fruit trees, gardens ,also jungle trees make the beautiful covering possible and from the side of river to the tombs there are lots of slope.
The height of this catacomb from the surface of the ground is11.75. In front of this catacomb they created an area like Iwan. At the entrance of this Iwan there are two columns .In the body of this pedestal there are grooves like pedestals in Achaemenid Empire.
After the entrance , we reach the first corridor which is the burial room of the first floor.There are two tombs at the two sides; on every stone bench there are beautiful arch and dug-out graves with the length of 15.2 and width of 82 cm.
According to the shape of pedestal and its downward room it seems that this catacomb belongs to Medes period.
