Protected region of Shaloo and Mongasht is located at the distance of 25 km of east south of Ize Township. It is a mountainous region which is located at the drainage basin of Zagros's chains.Shaloo-Mangasht has an area of 13000 hectares.
Snowy mountains which have suitable wild covering make very worth seeing and attractive landscapes in this region. A majority part of this mountainous region is snowy and its height is between 780/3200 meters above the sea level.
Water full Karun River is running on the east side of this region.
