This castle is built on a hill to the west of the Lar Township. Ejdeha peykar Castle is one of the oldest castles of Lar that because of having the shape like a dragon; it is called Ejdeha peykar (in English means with the body of dragon)
The structure is composed of three sections: The stone wall, the upper tower and the middle tower.
It dates back to the pre-Islamic period. It’s been inhabited until the 20th century and was bombarded at the time of Reza Shah.
Between this hill and the hill in which Narin Castle is built over it, you can see a narrow valley that is the path of a seasonal river called Varvand.
The remains of Masghaf dam between two hills can be seen yet.
On the east side of the castle, over a high point toward Lar Township, ruins of a building are noticeable that is known as the tomb of the mother of Nader Shah ( a Persian king).
On the top of it, the remains of ancient buildings such as mosque, bath, tomb, crypt, waterwheel, well and water reservoir are observable.
