The Emadiyeh Madrasa is located in the old district of darb-e No in Gorgan.According to extant evidence, this madrasa was built under the Safavid dynasty and restored in later periods.
Its building follows a four-aivan plan with a central courtyard surrounded by chambers allocated to theology students.The eastern and western aivans are flat-roofed and the northern and southern ones hane vaulted roofing .The aivans are flanked by stairways leading to the upper floor and the rooftop.The most important aivans is western one,i.e., the entrance of the madrasa,which a large wooden door topped on the upper floor by a wooden chamber wherefrom calls to prayer are made.
