Omidiye Sokhte Mountain, because of its appearance and having hydrocarbon effects and evidences in the surface of earth, is considered as a valuable Geo-tourism effect in geology and tectonics of Zagros.
According to GPS device, the height of this mountain above the sea level is 110 m. Sokhte Mountain was cleaved because of landslide. Fire is going out of this mountain like a black dragon.
Release of gas from south part of anticline of Aghajari Mountain, near the industrial Omidiye city, make this mountain so black. So it has been called Sokhte Mountain from long time ago.
