Golpayegan Dam Golpayegan Dam is the first modern reservoir,earthen dam which located in 18km of Golpayegan city near akhtvan village on anarbar river. This dam with clay core is lopsided and built with old method of earthen dam construction on shell stone foundation.
Golpayegan Dam as the first modern dam of Iran and without instrumentation,inside and outside body,after more than half a century still the most important source of water for agriculture lands of Golpayegan.
Perch,crap,riveral whitefish and trout will be found in Golpayegan Dam. Whitefish and trout is very good and have high quality.
