Traditional bazaar of Golpayegan with wide entrance and bricked ceiling is very similar to Seljuq’s buildings. The Four Sough (four-side) bazaar is accessible from the city’s mosque and is located in front of Golpayegan city’s minaret.
The Four Sough term was coined for the first time on the junction of two main and important ways of bazaar.
Being in the vicinity of bazaar and mosque in the community could be always investigated. Nowadays the new and big bazaar of Golpayegan is situated near the traditional one (Four Sough bazaar) and surrounded this historical bazaar.
In terms of architecture, the Four Sough is considered as one the important urban and communicating elements in Iranian traditional bazaar. Since the important Iranian bazaars was mostly situated linear and was connected to the most important road of the city, the most substantial part of bazaar was its main Rasteh (path).
Besides sough, main Rasteh was the most principal architectural elements in Iranian bazaar that was formed in its simplest way with stores on either side.
