Shandiz is one of the beautiful Yaylaki (summer pasture) cities in Iran that is located at the distance of 15 km in the west of Mashhad.
Shandiz consists of two rural districts: Shandiz and Abardeh Alia.
Shandiz has some special attractions that entice the people who are enthusiastic about the beauties of nature; these attractions include: numerous rivers, lush and green valleys with breathtaking landscapes, shadowy trees reaching for the sky, raspberry’s shrubberies, different species of wild flowers, medicinal plants in the margin of rivers, clean and pleasant weather and the existence of more than 2000 petroglyphs.
