Fereydounshahr city is located 150 km from Isfahan. It has tourism attractions such as waterfalls and a ski piste that experiences the highest snowfall in the region.
Speaking in this respect, Mohammad Ali Esfanani, the city’s representative in parliament, told IRNA the piste, situated 2,500 meters above sea-level, is a proper site for winter sports.
Esfanani added that the piste hosts thousands of tourists during holidays.
“It is among the top five pistes of the country,” he said. “We seek to tap the snow potential as white gold for generating jobs and increasing income for people.”
Many foreign tourists call Fereydounshahr Piste Iran’s Alpine, which is covered with snow even in June.
One of the tourists who had come from Ahvaz, khuzestan province, said, “This is very interesting for me. I hadn’t seen so much snow before.”
FereydounShahr Ski Resort organizes numerous events such as parachuting and Festival of Snow Statues.
