Keleh is the local word for oven. It is in 5 different kinds in Mazandaran traditions.
1- Chendok Keleh: it is 40 X 60 X 50 cm thatch oven. It is very common at homes in rural areas. The name derives from the position of sitting in front of this kind of oven.
2- Shir Keleh: it is a stone oven. There are two pieces of big stones and the fire between them. Its name comes from boiling milk on it (shir means milk).
3- Beneh Keleh: it is a hole on the ground; usually 30 X 50 cm. Meals are usually baked on this kind of oven.
4- Daar Keleh: it consists of three pieces of wood. Two pieces on the sides of the fire, and the third one right above the fire.
The shepherds usually use this kind of oven for making tea.
5- Chengum Keleh: it is like daar Keleh and used to make tea.
