Meybod is a premier zilou-producing center. With regard to its pattern and fabric, it resembles wicker works and was used to Carpet the mosques and holy places.
Zilou is made of cotton thread and comes in sizes of 3 meters by 4 meters or 2 meters by 3 meters.
The white and blue zilou is used in mosques and holy places, while the blue and red one known as Johari is one of the cheapest of all.
The best type of zilou is called Naftal, which is made of green and orange threads.
