Kolar water reservoir is one of the historic and touristic attractions of Meybod Township located in front of Robat-e-Meybod. According to its inscription belongs to 11 century (AH).
It is in front of the entrance of four-arched caravansary in Safavid style called Rbobat Shah Abbasi's caravansary. In different areas of Meybod in regard with its condition and population of the village especially availability or non-availability of drinking water, the numbers and types of reservoirs are various.
One of the features of water reservoir's instruction is the right use of topographical conditions of the ground by architect for building reservoir and staircase, in a way that the people who were tired of a long path could reach the tap of reservoir just by some steps.
There is an inscription, in the west of the entrance says about the architect and the purpose of the water reservoir.
