Shirirn Su lagoon is located at a distance of 95 km of Hamedan in northwest and at a distance of 40km of Kabodar Ahang. Access to the lagoon is possible via a paved road from Kabodar Ahang to Shirin Su.The extent of these wetlands in the area is 300 hectares and the extent of the lake is 44 hectares.
This wetland area in proportion to the amount of rainfall varies in different years.These wetlands are home to large numbers of waterfowl and aquatic species in migration seasons every year such as: white stork, Mallard, little bittern and tern.
Being located at the junction of the largest and most spectacular caves(Alisadr and Katalekhor)and being close to downtown are the excellent features of this wetland .
