Varkaneh village is one of east
Alvand Mountain's villages and it is located in the east side of
Hamadan city.
Varkaneh village is known as the pearl of rural tourism in the province.
This village with streets surrounded by rubble stones which under locality lights are burnt down is reminiscent of Europe's Renaissance. "Var" in the
Dialect of Kurdish means "Side" and "Kane" means "spring".
Varkaneh also means taking the side of the water and fountain. The village altitude above the sea level is 2250 meters. It has mild and pleasant climate in the summer and cold one in winter.
Varkaneh village's people are speaking in Azeri, Kurdish and Farsi.
Being used local and traditional materials and specially stones in constructions make this village looks spectacular.
