Their
Language (called Luri or Lurish
Language ) is closely related to Persian, and there are two distinct dialects of this
Language. "Lur-e-Bozourg" (Greater Lur), which is spoken by the Bakhtiaris, and "Lur-e-Kuchik" (Lesser Lur), spoken by the Lurs themselves.

Borujerdi Dialect is spoken in Borujerd City and more than 200 villages around it. People of Malayer, Doorod, Arak, Toyserkan and Kangavar have a very similar accent to Borujerdi and their Language can be considered same as Borujerdi Dialect of Luri.
It is estimated that between 0.8 to 1 million people in provinces of Loristan, Markazi, Hamadan and Kermanshah speak in Borujerdi Dialect with minor differences in their accents.

Ethnologue has cited its lexical similarity with Luri as 78%, as 70% with Western Persian, and as 69% with Northern Luri.
Laki Language is spoken in the central Zagros region of Iran (provinces of Lorestan, Ilam, Kermanshah, Hamedan, Qazvin, khuzestan) and in small parts of Iraq by the Lak people.
