Rakib Khane historical building is one of the ancient monuments of
Isfahan which is located in the center of
Isfahan city and close to the famous monuments such as "Ashraf Hall", "Chehel Sotoon Palace", Alighapoo “and” Tohid Khane".
The building was constructed in the early eleventh century coincided with the reign of Shah Abbas I. According to the word ‘Rakib Khane’ is signified that this building had been a place for keeping equestrian equipment and tools of state stable.
In the years after the Islamic Revolution, Rakib Khane was refurbished and after restructuring, objects in
Tehran decorative art museum and other ancient objects moved to this building in
Isfahan and exhibited to the public.
