Tang Choogan is located at 25 km of Kazeroon city and in front of ancient city of Bishapoor; Shapoor river passes through this strait from northeast to the southwest and the beautiful spring of Sasan bubbles from a part of this strait.
The spring has persisted for long years and today supplies the water for some parts of Kazeroon Township besides the water is used for irrigation for agricultural lands of the area.
This natural and historical Tang is situated beside the ruins of ancient city of Bishapoor and consists of three villages of Tang Choogan Bala, Tang Choogan Payeen and Tang Choogan Vosta.
Based on the evidence, Tang Choogan was the place for a traditional game called Choogan (in English means polo) that was played by Sassanian kings.
In addition to the six reliefs of ShapoorI and Bahram I and II, the valley has placed the huge statue of ShapoorI with the height of 6 m in the Shapoor Cave.
The reliefs of this strait are larger and more crowded in comparison with other reliefs of Sassanid period.
