Parishan lake is a lake in Iran. The Lake is in Kazerun, Fars Province and is the largest freshwater lake in the country. It receives only very small amount of water from feeder rivers and the whole lake/wetland is protected by Department of The Environment,as it is considered a globally significant wetland ecosystem.
This lake is formed 3 km. away from Ayaz Abad Village and at a distance of 12 km to the southeast of KazeroonThe maximum observed water area is 18 sq.km., with an average water depth of 1.6 m.
The lake is used for fish cultivation. Because of its ecological value, this lake has been registered as a wetland of International Importance the landscape is magnificent with interesting vegetation and wildlife especially in spring and autumn.
use this wetland is used as a wintering habitat for many migratory birds.
