Immamzadeh Davood is the mausoleum of Davood-ebne Emad who was the grandson of Imam Zeinolabedin (peace be upon him).
It is located in northwest of Tehran in a mountainous region drawing hordes of pilgrims to this holy place.
The tomb of Immamzadeh has been built during Safavi era and developed in Fathali Shah’s age; but what is left from its structure, is a cellar and octagonal tomb in length and width of 6m.
The original building of this site belongs to Ghajar period. On the entrance door of the shrine some couplets of poetry are written that Fathali Shah’s name includes in them, this signifies that the shrine is built during that era.
Due to the both difficulty of the way and pleasant weather in this area, there are built numerous inns for passengers to stay overnight.
