Kazemi Mansion or Saray-e-Kazemi or Museum of Old Tehran, is one of the old mansions of Tehran located in old Chaleh Meidan district.
The characteristics of the mansion are influenced by the common designs of Iranian houses in regard with the dignity of homeowners and their social status.
The design and the shape of the mansion are formed at the late Ghajar dynasty and completed in Pahlavi I period.
The mansion, that is similar to other traditional buildings in Iran, consists of Birooni, Andaruni, reservoir, kitchen and stable.
What is remained from the main part of the building is its Shahneshin with two courtyards. Shahneshin was a part of the building located in the north of the Andaruni that faced the sun; it had greater height in comparison with other rooms, besides it had a half-dome roof to keep the room cool.
