The
Mellat park lies in northern
Tehran adjacent to Valiasr Avenue and is one of the largest recreation areas in
Tehran.
It is magnificently set up with carefully maintained lawns, trees, flower beds and other decoration elements.
The park is ideal for relaxing in the hot summers, for instance by having a picnic in the shade.

Alborz mountains adjacent to Valiasr Street in the east, and extends to the Chamran Expressway (Parkway) and Seoul Street to the west.
The park lies in the southern grounds of
Tehran International Fair and Enghelab Club.
It is watered by the winter-snow streams coming down from Mount Tochal close to 4,000 m high.
It has pathways for walking and shade for picnics and relaxation as well as facilities such as snack bars, coffee shops, and a small aviary.
There's also a Cineplex at the edge of the park.

Mellat park Cineplex, located in the municipal district 3 of Tehran in an extended and indefinite piece of land with the area of 6000 sq m, has been designed and constructed in the far south-east side of Mellat park.
With the total floor area of 15400 sq m, this project includes 4movie halls, each occupying 300 persons, and a small performance hall with the capacity of 30 persons, along with exhibition areas, restaurant, coffee shop, Book and CD store, offices and service areas.
It is also the location of one of the steam-powered locomotives used on the first Iranian railway section built during 1886-1888.
The No. 664 locomotive was built by the Belgian Ateliers de Tubize and commissioned on 1887.
