Tehran's bird garden is being launched in northeast Tehran,in district four of Tehran in Lavizan neighborhood. 80 hectares in Lavizan Park has been set aside for recreation, tourism and cultural activities of which 20 hectares will turn into bird garden.
This will be the biggest bird garden in the country. In other cities, such gardens are 2 hectares in area and a 20-hectare garden has had no precedence in Iran.
According to Latif Pendarian, project manager: “a good environment has been provided for tropical birds and about 250 species of birds numbering more than 20,000 will be living in the park.
As various parts of the garden are finished, birds will be transferred there.”
